I am a small Miniature Dachshund breeder
in Northern/Central California.
Little D's Dachshunds
includes myself, my husband and my son. My husband is a part of everything that goes on here and I couldn't possibly
manage without him.
I breed mostly wire hair and occasionally smooth coats in red, black and tan
The wires are my heart and my passion, I've worked hard at bringing in show lines from
all over the world. My dream right now is to create a show quality wire hair brindle line.
I keep the smooths mainly for my husband Justin, he loves that they love to cuddle.
My dogs live in the house and are members of our
family. All my puppies are well socialized and handled daily. They come kid proofed by my own 16 year old
We always encourage families to come and meet
us and their puppy. We feel it is important to see the atmosphere in which your puppy has been raised because it will
have an impact on who they are as adults and they carry those experiences with them for a lifetime.
We do not have a "facility ", our puppies are raised in
our home with our family, they are a part of everything we do in our day to day life.
With that being said, we do not allowed puppies to be viewed before 4 weeks old.
When you come to our home it must specifically be to see your puppy
that you have a deposit on or a particular puppy.
For the safety of our family and our puppies, we like to keep exposure to outside disease and bacteria to a
minimum. We understand that you are putting a lot of trust in us. We have been doing this a long time now, we can offer
our Veterinarian and previous families that have visited our home and have puppies from us as a reference.
The puppies are Vet checked
by 8 weeks and have had vaccinations and de-wormings according to age. We do Early Neurological Stimulation on our puppies
and were starting to incorporate the Puppy Culture training methods.
I do my best to breed to AKC standard.
Quality, health, conformation and temperment are my top
priorities as a
I do my best to stay within the size for a miniature stated in the AKC standard, 11 pounds or under at one year
I do NOT breed
for extremely small or "micro mini" Dachshunds. The majority of my puppies mature to 10-12 pounds. Some
being bigger, some being smaller.
